Welcome to the Physics Department at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. The goal of the department is to enhance the educational experience of the McLennan College student by providing a foundation for lifelong learning in the physical sciences and pre-engineering fields.

Mission Statement

Physics is a fundamental science and is required in most science and engineering degree programs. Each of the courses in the Physics Unit at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ is designed to prepare students to excel in their various field of study and to prepare the pre-professional student for entrance into various professional programs such as medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and pharmacy. In an effort to better prepare À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ students for the challenges of life, the À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ physics courses stress the application of the scientific method to problem solving and problem solving techniques.
