À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Faculty Jazz Ensemble

The À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Faculty Jazz Ensemble has performed original music and jazz standards in many musical styles for nearly 30 years. The group is made up of faculty members from the Music Industry Career (MIC) program at À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ. Over the years, they have performed at many local and regional venues, including the Bosque River Stage, local clubs, semester concerts on the À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ campus, and even the Texas State Capitol.

Alumni Making Music History

Emily Gimble

Texas State artist, voted pianist of the year for several straight years in Austin, played with Hayes Carll, Asleep at the Wheel, Warren Hood, and Marshall Ford Swing Band. She is the daughter of former legendary MIC instructor Dick Gimble.
