Program Overview

The Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program prepares you for entry-level work in most pharmacy settings. You'll learn medical and pharmaceutical terminology, basic anatomy, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical calculations. The program combines hands-on practice with online modules, covering how to process prescriptions and physician orders, fill mock prescriptions, and apply the ethics of pharmacy practice. Topics also include patient care, prescription medications, and billing and reimbursement.

What to Expect

You will complete a 100-hour externship before finishing the program. Upon completion, you'll be ready to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE), offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). The exam registration fee is included in your tuition.
