Criminal Justice Certificates
A Career in Criminal Justice Starts Here.
À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ's Criminal Justice program offers professional certificates in Law Enforcement, Forensic Science, and Policy & Corrections — built for people ready to work in the field.
What You Can Earn
À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ offers three certificate pathways in Criminal Justice:
- Law Enforcement Certificate: Prepares you for careers in state, county, and municipal law enforcement. Available completely online. Build the foundational knowledge that agencies look for — criminal law, investigation, corrections, and court systems.
- Forensic Science Certificate: For students interested in the evidence side of criminal justice — crime scene investigation, scientific analysis, and forensic procedure. Hands-on coursework.
- Policy & Corrections Certificate: Focused on corrections, probation, parole, and the systems that keep communities safer. Prepares you for careers at the adult and juvenile levels.
All certificates lead directly to workforce entry. Financial aid is available for qualifying students through standard federal financial aid (FAFSA).
Why À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ
À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ's Criminal Justice program is part of the Emergency Services Education division, which means you're learning alongside people training in paramedicine, fire, and emergency management. It's a professional environment from day one.
Classes are primarily in-person and hands-on. Some online options are available — ask your advisor which courses qualify.
If you decide you want to go further, À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ's Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice transfers as a block to state universities. And through the University Center at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, you can take Tarleton State University bachelor's-level courses right here on campus.
