I'm enrolled at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. Can I march with the Baylor University Golden Wave Band?

Absolutely! Come join! Through approval from the Dean and Chairman from each music department, À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ students may participate in the Golden Wave Band. À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ students must register for Wind Ensemble* (MUEN 1121_001) and Community Band (MUEN 1130_050) at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. All À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ band members are required to pay a $300 lab & activity fee covering the cost of the GWB apparel (including shirts, hats, shoes, gloves) and game day meals. This payment is due the first day of preseason week and paid by credit or debit card (no cash accepted). Contact Dr. Jon Conrad to begin the À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ approval process. After you register for classes, your name will be added to our class database. This will allow us to give you important information (music, schedules, handbooks, etc.) regarding the Golden Wave Band.

The Golden Wave Band rehearses Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00-6:00pm, in addition to game day rehearsals, bowl trips, and full band trips.

* Students must enroll in fall and spring semesters of the Wind Ensemble if participating in BUGWB, unless the student is graduating.

Courtside Players

Participation in the Golden Wave Band is required for acceptance into the Courtside Players. Members will travel to BIG XII and NCAA Tournaments. Auditions usually take place in mid-September and consist of performance of the chromatic scale, a couple of prepared tunes, and a brief sight-reading excerpt. Results are published by late September.

There is no fee for participation in Courtside Players. Students playing a school-owned instrument may be asked to provide an instrument maintenance fee.

Students must enroll in MUEN 1121_001 and MUEN 1130_050 during the spring semester.
